Dr. Verschueren has been Director-General of EuroCommerce since July 2011. In this function, he is the chief spokesperson for the retail and wholesale sector. As head of a team of 20 professionals making up the EuroCommerce secretariat, he leads and coordinates major advocacy and communication activities at the EU level.
Before joining EuroCommerce, Christian Verschueren led ACE, the alliance for the beverage carton industry. Between 2000 and 2007, he was Director-General of CropLife International, the global federation of the plant science industry. Prior to that, he occupied various management and leadership positions in FEDESA and COMISA (now IFAH–Europe and IFAH), the European and global associations for the veterinary pharmaceutical industry.
Dr. Verschueren graduated as doctor of veterinary medicine at the University of Liège, Belgium. He also qualified as veterinarian-specialist in internal medicine and for companion animals. He holds a PhD from the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands.
Dr. Verschueren is a guest lecturer at HEC Paris. He is also an ambassador of WWF Belgium, a Board member at Vétérinaires Sans Frontières (Veterinarians without Borders), a development NGO and at Natagora, a nature conservancy organisation.

Andrzej Bobiński is the Managing Director of Polityka Insight. Prior to that, he was the Deputy Managing Director responsible for business activities. Between 2013 and 2016, he headed the business department of Polityka Insight. Up to 2012, he was the head of the External Relations department of Orange Polska, at the same time co-creating the Wrocław Global Forum as the director of the secretariat of the event. Between 2006 and 2009 he was the programme coordinator of the Centre for International Relations. He graduated from the University of Warsaw with a degree in applied linguistics.

Jacek Borek manages the technological area at Accenture in Poland. He has over 23 years of experience in the implementation of IT systems (including SAP) in various sectors: telecommunications, energy, banking, aviation, FMCG, industry and media. For many years he has also been executing projects in the field of IT strategy and popularizing technological trends based on the annual report Accenture Technology Vision.
Jacek Borek graduated from the Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics at the Warsaw University of Technology, specialising in applied computer science.

Jakub Giermasinski has over 15 years of experience in the technology area, focused on large scale implementations. With solid tech background he followed the path from developer through architect to lead transformational projects for in Telecommunications and Retail industries. Nowadays he leads the Digital Commerce within Salesforce Business Group. Jakub holds MSc degree from Warsaw University of Technology and combines technical and industry specific experience to deliver innovative solutions.

Sales Director of JTI Poland (part of the Japan Tobacco International group). He holds an MBA McGill-HEC in Montreal, Canada. Simon Grenier joined JTI Canada in 2005 where he occupied various positions of increasing responsibility, joining the board as Head of Sales in 2015 until his relocation in Poland at the end of 2018. Privately, he enjoys travel, food, wine and an active lifestyle.

Graduate of the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznan at the Faculty of Modern Languages and literature and of the Canadian Institute of Management’s Executive MBA, as well as of the postgraduate studies at the Poznan School of Logistics. She started her professional career in Jeronimo Martins Polska in 1995.  In the company, she held, among others, a position of the Director of the Supply Chain Department; from 2010 she took over the duties of the Purchasing Director and in 2016 she took the position of Commercial Director. In 2019 she was nominated to the position of Marketing Department Director and a board member of Jeronimo Martins Polska.

Graduate of the Finance and Banking Department at Cracow Economic University (currently Cracow University of Economics); also holds an MBA Executive diploma from RSM Erasmus University – University of Gdańsk.
In the card business since 2000, he joined Visa in January 2007, initially as Sales Director, Growth & Emerging Markets, responsible for contacts with leading Polish issuer banks and acquirers, acceptance expansion (including the programme Visa cards accepted everywhere), and Visa mobile and contactless development in this country. Subsequently, he held the position of Visa Europe Country Manager for Poland, after which he became Director, Regional Marketing and Business Development, Central Eastern Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary), Visa.
Co-founder and member of the Boards of two foundations: Cashless Poland and Digital Poland.

Dr Krzysztof Korus is an attorney with a doctorate in law, and an economist. He is an expert on payment services, new technologies law, and banking law. Every year since 2015, he has been listed as a recommended lawyer in Chambers Europe in the Banking & Finance category. He is a pioneer in advising on regulatory issues for the fintech sector in Poland. He co-authored the “Study Impact of the PSD” and “Principles, Definitions and Model Rules of European Private Law” for the European Commission, and sat on the programming council for the monthly “Banking Law Monitor”. He is a member of the European Payments Consulting Association.He has written several dozen publications, legal analyses, and commentaries and spoken at numerous industry events in Poland, Europe, the US, and Asia. He is involved in legislative work at the Polish and EU level.

As the Managing Director, he is responsible for the current operations of Enefit in Poland. Earlier, he was responsible for the electricity trading both on the wholesale and retail markets in the business clients segment, as well as the distribution and generation. He has been associated with the energy market for over 20 years.

Paweł Krawczyk has been tied with Decathlon Poland for over 13 years now. Started in Lublin then moved to Cracow to run the Decathlon Store there, after a couple of years taking the position of Regional Director for south of Poland. Since 2012 based in Warsaw headquarters firstly as a Commercial Director for Poland and for the past 3 years holding the position of Development Leader.
He has graduated from Catholic University of Lublin with a master degree in Administration.

Marketing Director (Member of the board) of JTI Poland (part of the Japan Tobacco International group). He graduated European University “Viadrina” (Germany) and holds an MBA from Warsaw University of Technology Business School. Krzysztof gained experience in General Electric prior to joining JTI in 2008. Since then he occupied several positions broadening his capabilities in the areas of international project & change management during his assignment in HQ. He also led Sales function for JTI Poland between 2017-2018. Privately, he enjoys basketball, active lifestyle and good book.

Manager with many years of experience in the cosmetics, food and children’s categories. During his career, he was associated with companies such as: L’Oreal, Samsung, Danone-Nutricia, Unilever. Currently at Unilever, he is responsible for e-commerce sales and content in Poland and Eastern Europe. He builds a sales strategy and communication with the shopper in modern Internet channels: pure players, omnichannel, market place, e-grocery sales platforms.

Graduate of Warsaw School of Insurance and Banking (now Vistula University).
His career began in 2001 with KPMG consultancy, where for five years he managed an array of projects for financial institutions, including in the scope of internal processes optimization and profitability improvement. In 2006 he took over as credit card portfolio manager at Polbank EFG, with responsibilities covering partnership programmes and increase in credit card portfolio profitability.
With Visa since March 2011, Adrian Kurowski ran for three years a consulting practice for Central Eastern Europe, having carried out many projects focused on implementing new product strategies and optimizing card portfolio management in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
As from October 2014, he is Country Manager for Poland, Visa.

Michał Pieprzny – CEO Poland. Expert in customer value building in B2C and B2B markets. He has an extensive experience in designing and improving business cooperation models, as well as in developing and implementing sales stimulation programs, optimizing product portfolio and company operational effectiveness.
Prior to joining PAYBACK, Michał worked at McKinsey & Company, supporting company boards of multiple companies in Central and Eastern Europe. He also worked for Avon Cosmetics where he was co-responsible for the company’s strategy on 23 markets in Central and Eastern Europe.

Bartłomiej Pucek took over the newly created function of Country Digital Manager at IKEA Retail in Poland in October 2019. He is an experienced leader in digital strategy and transformation. At IKEA, he is responsible, among others, for the new digital products deployment (e-commerce, fulfillment, mobile, in-store technology and others), IT, Information Security and Data Privacy, Digital Product Development, Portfolio Management and Data Management.

He completed executive education at Stanford Graduate School of Business in the field of Strategic Marketing Management and Disruptive Strategy as part of the Harvard Business School program. He gained professional experience, among others, with Grupa Pracuj and Onet Ringier Axel Springer.

Since May 2020, he has been CEO of Lewiatan Holding S.A. A manager with broad experience in the food sector. He has worked for Polska Sieć Handlowa Lewiatan since 2013. First, he was Director of Operations in charge of Lewiatan’s nine regional companies. In February 2019, he became member of the Board of Directors of Lewiatan Holding S.A. and managed the strategic team responsible for the development and implementation of a new strategy for PSH Lewiatan for 2020-2025.

Since March 2016, he has been the Chairman of the Management Board of Żabka Polska and the General Director of the company. He has been involved in food trade since the beginning of his professional career. He worked for various companies of the Jeronimo Martins Group for over 18 years. He started his career in the Financial Department, then he dealt with Portuguese chains of the Group – Pingo Doce supermarkets and Feira Nova hypermarkets. Since 2003, Financial Director of the Recheio wholesale warehouse chain. From 2005, Chief Operating Officer of Jeronimo Martins, responsible for the Central Region. In 2007, he joined the company’s management board, taking the position of Financial Director. In the years 2011-2014 he was the General Director of the Biedronka chain, after which he worked again in the international structures of the company. He graduated in Finance and Accountancy of Business at the Faculty of Management at the University of Economics in Poznań. He is also a graduate of the American Stanford University and the international INSEAD Business School.

He has been associated with Castorama Polska since the beginning of his professional career. He performed various functions within the company’s operations, initially working in the store, through logistics and quality department, and concluding in the field of social responsibility and sustainable development. Together with the team he dealt i.a. with implementing the sustainable development plan for Kingfisher Group, of which Castorama is a part. Currently in the position of Manager for Business Relations and Social Projects. Always close to people, local communities and products offered by the company. Konrad has been working in the FMCG industry for last 7 years. He gained experience in research and analysis of FMCG market data while working for Jeronimo Martins Polska, OMD Media, and for over 5 years associated with Nielsen Poland. All the time spent in Nielsen, Konrad is engaged in cooperation with retail chains, he currently manages the part of Nielsen focused on supporting Retailers’ in Poland. Thanks to his daily contact with retail chains from hypermarkets, through discounters to petrol stations, he has a broad perspective on the Polish FMCG market, and he also closely observes consumer trends affecting retailers’ business. He is a graduate of Econometrics and Computer Science at the Warsaw University, a fan of Italian football and cuisine, collector and music connoisseur.

Since 2019 Supply Chain Director in Media Saturn Holding Polska, owner of Media Markt stores and biggest consumer electronics retailer in Europe. Earlier for many years working in Mars Inc., global FMCG player where he was responsible for production planning, demand planning, customer service, S&OP, transport and warehousing. Leader of many optimisation and transformation projects in supply chain area. Graduate from University of Economics in Wroclaw and postgraduate from Warsaw School of Economics.

Karolina holds nearly 20 years of professional experience from various product and commercial roles within the global market research company Nielsen working with consumer attitudes, retail sales and shopper trends within FMCG. For the past 6 years prior to stepping into the Managing Director role, she served as a Vice-President within Nielsen BASES with responsibility for international analytical team consulting on new product launches ideation, optimization and activation.

At Visa, Katarzyna manages a team responsible for relations with acquirers and retailers, and acceptance growth in the region of Central Eastern Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary). She has more than a dozen years of professional experience in such sectors as banking, cashless payments and loyalty programs, and also in the FMCG industry. During her career, she has held a number of directorial positions with companies including Raiffeisen Polbank (formerly Polbank), POLCARD, and Premium Club. Most recently she was the President of the Management Board of Paymax S.A., a company providing a solution which enables card acceptance via payment application installed on a phone / tablet and mPOS Paymax card reader.
